I always wanted to be a singer.

But God had a different calling for me. Just ask my family. I sing well in a large chorus or in the shower (if no one else is home). In time, God revealed that I was to be a wife, a mother of an entire clan and an author. I have accepted my calling and love every moment of it. Well, let's be honest - I would do nicely without the bickering. But besides that, it is pure heaven. Actually, I would never have chosen for some of my children to be ill. But nobody asked me.Comfort

For many years, a friend encouraged me to write a book about raising a large family. Another friend said to write a book about raising three chronically ill children. So I combined the two ideas and here is the result. It was a long, six-year journey but there was finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Comfort was released the end of November of 2012. You can purchase a copy through Amazon or, better yet, click on the Comfort page on this website and purchase it by clicking on the purchaser button.

Comfort is an eight-week devotional with our families' story interspersed. It has forty-eight "Heart Psalms" with a short correlating devotion. It is ideal for families who care for a child with any chronic illness or anyone who knows of such a family. I have even been told that it has helped a mother be a better parent to her healthy son.

Comfort is perfect for gift giving for your friends or a treat to yourself. I offer you a challenge: see if you can actually read it as an eight week, daily devotional. Most people can't put it down; they read it through in one sitting. Which is fine, too.

Feel free to contact me and let me know how you did and what you thought about it. If it inspired you and brought you comfort, please recommend it to others.

Blessings to you, my friend.
